Dominic's Donation Project: Pages for Preemies

It's been a while...

It's been a while since I updated this blog. Reason being, Good Sam has been flooded with pages and asked me to hold off for a while. I just made a delivery of over 300 pages just a month ago. I can not thank you enough for all the generosity you have shown. Keep checking back!!! Thanks so much!

Blog surfing, I came across this post here. Reading this story brought tears to my eyes. If you have a moment, and a spare card, PLEASE, send one to this family.

As a mother of 4, and the mom of a NICU baby, I know how hard it is for these parents. Even though Dominic's problems were no where near this bad, for us, it was the end of the world. I can only imagine how hard it is for this family.

If you can, please send a card. The blog creator is offering awesome blog candy...but that shouldn't be your only reason for sending the card. I know it will touch the parents more than you know.

The ladies at the Stamp and Scrap Clubhouse hosted a benefit for Pages for Preemies. They made well over 100 pages to be donated for the month of October!!! Ladies, thank you so very much!!!

If so, you will want to check out this board I found. It's for Moms of preemies who also scrapbook. You have to post your completed scrapbook page of your preemie...and you'll get a lot of support from other preemie mom's. Check em out!

The group moderator, Sara, is hosting a (non) swap to collect 100 pages for Pages for Preemies! What a wonderful thing she is doing for us!

Melissa, from M Jennings Designs has designed this very special bracelet for Pages for Preemies. She will be selling this for $35 and $5 of all proceeds go to Pages for Preemies!!! She will be selling these at the Scrap and Stamp Clubhouse on Bridgetown during the open scap for Pages for Preemies they are hosting on October 12th.

I chose the three charms for specific reasons in this design.

I chose the "I love to scrap" charm because the women who are creating these pages love scrap booking and they are creating pages for the parents of preemies.
I chose the heart charm because of the love behind this special project.
I chose the rose charm as a symbol of strength. Each baby and family member with a baby in the NICU needs strength.

Who doesn't love a naked baby photo? I took this last night to hang in my bathroom with our other 3's naked baby pictures. I think it's just adorable!

Let me thank you...each and everyone of you for visiting this page. I am absolutely overwhelmed by the responses and e-mails I have received so far. Scrappers and Stampers are truly the most kind-hearted people around!

In honor of Dominic's 6 month birthday...

Today is Dominic's 6 month birthday. And, in honor of that, I am announcing Dominic's Donation Project...Pages for Preemies! What is this you ask? Well, simple. I am collecting scrapbook pages for the NICU at Good Sam, here in Cincinnati, OH. I am taking donations of pages, materials to make pages, cards or anything else that we can give to the parents of these preemie babies. So many parents will never have the joy of watching their baby grow up, some, may never even have the chance to even hold their baby in their arms while he or she is healthy and with out wires and gadgets all over their precious new baby. While sitting in the NICU for the 15 days that Dominic was in there, it was gut wrenching to see the babies. It was even harder knowing some would never get to know their baby.

I would like these pages to be given to the parents so they can hang them by the baby's incubator or to take home to frame, or even put into their own scrapbook. The pages can be any size, as long as they are square. 6x6, 8x8, 12x12...doesn't matter to me. I am going to be dropping these pages off the last day of every month.
